Emily S. Lane

Emily S. Lane has practiced exclusively family law since her admission to the State Bar of California in 2017.  Emily represents parties in family law proceedings involving child and spousal support, custody and visitation, and property division.  She also has vast experience with domestic violence restraining order proceedings, parentage actions, and premarital agreements.  Emily litigates matters in Marin, San Francisco, and Sonoma counties.

Emily attended San Francisco State University, where she received her B.A. in Humanities.  Emily graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she achieved the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Evidence and in Sales (UCC).  Emily earned specialization Certificates from Golden Gate in Family Law, Litigation, and Public Interest Law.  She was an editor of Golden Gate University's Environmental Law Journal.  During law school, Emily served as judicial extern to the Hon. Linda H. Colfax in Department 404 of the San Francisco Unified Family Court.

Prior to joining this firm in 2021, Emily was an associate attorney at Emley Law Office in San Francisco, where she started as an extern in 2015.  She currently acts as a Volunteer Attorney for the San Francisco Unified Family Court's Self-Represented Litigant Settlement Conference calendar.  Emily currently serves as Education Co-Chair for the San Francisco Bar Association's Family Law Section, and as Co-Chair for the Marin County Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
